The Triton Fountain in Valletta is one of Malta’s most renowned landmarks. As part of the restoration project of the fountain, a new infrastructural system was designed to protect and enhance the splendidness of this monument.

A new underground water treatment plantroom and pump room were constructed and connected through an underground tunnel. These were then linked to the fountain’s complex series of underground service passages and chambers. Additionally, the slab supporting the three bronze figures was demolished and reconstructed to better support these imposing figures. Works were meticulously carried out under constant supervision with both heavy and light machinery in order to safeguard the original features of the fountain.
